Wood, steam and a handful of screws. We shape wood into rounded forms with an ingenious trick. Our raised beds made of 30mm Swiss oak are extremely durable. This product is made entirely without chemical treatment, uses minimal grey energy and produces virtually no CO2 emissions. We accomplish this through professional production techniques and by using raw materials from Switzerland.

Six different diameters and freedom of choice in selecting the type of wood open up countless design possibilities. Especially by combining several quite different materials at the same site, every garden can be uniquely designed. The wood is purposefully left in the rough sawn state so that the natural greying process of the wood surface is unimpeded. Individual rings with agreeably rounded edges are joined by a small number of stainless steel screws. Dimpled sheeting can be installed on the raised beds at the factory. Depending on the substrate, installing rodent protection grating is recommended.

Fabrication and material of the ROUND RAISED BED Oak
Bending wood is our core competence. We have been producing wainwright and wood bending products in Sulgen using select Swiss wood since 1930. Wood is used by us as a raw material as well as a renewable energy source. We are very proud that even today, 3R WOOD WAVE only uses wood from FSC certified forests in eastern Switzerland for fabrication. Our wood comes from the local sawmill Bommeli Holz AG – natural Swiss wood!
